I posted before from the new release of old Thee Speaking Canaries material titled Platter Base Must be Constructed of Moon Rock. When ordered, there was a bonus 7″ you could order with. Looks like they are running low on 7″s so they’ve moved to sell the 7″ separately.  Anyhow, this song from the 7″ is fantastic.

The plethora of special releases for record store day are starting to drip into the music news sites on a daily basis. There are many good looking releases including this one from Don Flemons. Oh, and who could resist this heart shaped 7″ from Father John Misty? But this track from Aquarian Blood popped into my feed today and i’ve got to say it’s great. Read more about it at Stereogum.

Record Store Day is April 18th in case I overlooked stating that simple fact.

I don’t really seem to tire of these guys and their noisy recording methods. Neither should you. I’m glad I can help with such good advice on days like today.

Yesterday, I posted a song from Monoganon on Lost Map Records. I liked that song a lot, though the rest of their stuff is mixed for me.  The real reason I wound up listening to that track though was Tuff Love.  Tuff Love is another Lost Map Records artist and they are just great.  Listen up!

This song starts slow so hang in there. It’s worth the wait.

The Pins and several other ladies are featured on this Matter of Sound video for International Women’s Day (March 8). It’s a good short video. And Pins talks about having to play without all of their amps turned up and such. And yeah, been there. It’s a new kind of experience. Though they aren’t that stripped down on that video, but still…
