Looking for a way to kill some time on this chilly Saturday? So was Nicholas Jaar, apparently, so he went ahead and created his own soundtrack to the 1969 Armenian art film The Color of Pomegranates. Enjoy.
It might not be able to compete with the band playing the song live on Letterman, but “A New Wave” getting the Bob’s Burger treatment is pretty damn good.
Small sample size, I know, but Smith’s Euclid might be the most underrated release of the year so far. It only seems fitting that she’s currently opening shows for Grouper, who put out my favorite LP of 2014.
