It’s Sunday, which means we’re live on the air tonight, 9PM – midnight at 88.3FM or www.wrct.org.
No show tonight, since Jim and I will both be at the Built to Spill concert. Hopefully that’s a good enough excuse for you. We’ll be back next week.
For years, I’ve preached that Yo La Tengo will usher in the apocalypse and bring our time on Earth to a violent, fiery end, and you’ve all (repeatedly) laughed at me. Well who’s laughing now, jerks?
Dronin’ Thurston is the best Thurston.
Death from Above 1979 yesterday, and Interpol today. I wouldn’t hold it against you if you thought you’d traveled back to the turn of the century, but here we are in 2014 and both bands seem to be firing on all cylinders. Between “Ancient Ways” and the previously previewed “All the Rage Back Home”, Interpol actually sounds like Interpol again. El Pintor is out through Matador Records on September 9th.
