My Monday post accidentally posted on Sunday. Oh well. Here is something for Tuesday from the tiny quarts of life I have left.
The Mountain Goats finally cover pro wrestling. New album forthcoming. Not quite The Oh Sees prolific, but close.
Something new and interesting. Thee Speaking Canaries was a one-man project of Damon Che of Don Caballero. And it’s quite good. The track below is from some initial recordings that were never actually released.
Besides listening to those tracks, you can check out this mini-documentary on the release of this album after 24 years. Then go and pre-order it on bandcamp.
There are some artists, that just fit my audio preferences so well. And as such, I basically love everything that Brazilian Money releases. In fact, I will need to make sure they get back into rotation on the radio show. When I get back to it anyhow. Since i’m recovering from surgery still, Matt is holding down that fort.
Anyhow, this is some new stuff posted by Brazilian Money. Listening to this, I could imagine this being written and performed in a single sitting and then slowed down to perfection. I mean, like a fine meal made from dumpster dived veggies and lentils.
This new Twerps record is pretty damned good. And you know what, I really love the band name. Nice job band. Merge Records has it up for pre-order here.

The Vaselines just played Philly. Evident via many of the post from my old WKDU friends in those parts. Anyhow, this is great of course. And today is a good day for it. My first day back to work post-surgery. One more stepping stone!
