As sure as the sun comes up every morning, Tim Presley has released another album full of 60’s-influenced psych music. For the Recently Found Innocent was produced by Ty Segall, but any worries that Presley would abandon some of his jangle in favor of his frequent collaborator’s snarl seem to have been unfounded.
Still upset about Be Your Own Pet calling it quits a few years ago? This might be the remedy you need.
I’ve played “Boiling Point” off The Soundcarriers’ new album Entropicalia on the last two radio shows, but this is the song that gets the most spins at home. It’s a bit long, so if you ever hear it on WRCT, it’s probably because I either ran out of other stuff to play or I really have to pee and need a track to kill time.
Sometimes I have to dig deep into my memory for a song of the day. Other times, one great artist covers another, and I get to hit copy and paste and call it a day.
