Wow. Wow wow wow. This is some absolutely wonderful jammy psych that wraps around the listener like a warm blanket. Perfect autumn listening. The Silver Globe is out now on Finders Keepers Records.

Never heard of this Chicago band before this tweet, but I like this tune.  And I love cat mugs.

This song is much more enjoyable once the listener is in on the joke. Taken from the band’s 1995 album The Pastoral-Not Rustic-World of  Their Greatest Hits, which was not actually a greatest hits album, but rather their debut.

I recently picked up a new split 7″ with Ovlov and Little Big League on it.  I really wanted to play some of the Little Big League on the show, but reality struck because she likes the word fuck.  I do too.  Here is where you can get the record.

For those of you keeping track at home, Parkay Quarts is not an unfortunate typo of Parquet Courts, but rather a side project of sorts featuring a few members of the original band and a rotating cast of supporting players. Here, Andrew Savage channels his inner Reed/Malkmus and has himself a good ramble over the track’s 6+ minute run time.

I can’t remember who pointed me to this.  But today seems as good a day as any to listen to this incredible amount of lovely.
