Lest you worry that Savages might’ve lost it since their unfuckwithable debut, I present to you this new song they played at a recent stop in NYC.
For some reason, I went into this video thinking I wouldn’t like this band. I was wrong. Reminds me of a noisy indie band merged with uncle tupelo. Hard to argue with that.
The days of Geronimo! are numbered. Check out this new single. This may be my favorite geronimo song yet? Hard to say but it’s good.
I was just listening to Elsa’s I Do EP about a week ago and wondering if they were still kicking around, and *huzzah* a new song from the band magically appears. If I’m being completely honest, this one hasn’t clicked with me yet, but they built up enough goodwill with their previous work for me to give “Never Come Down” a few more listens.
Seriously, though, you’ve heard I Do, right? What a great debut. Just enough dream in their pop, these kids.

Well isn’t this convenient timing? Jim just played the original “Davey Crockett” on the show this Sunday, and then Hinds (fka Deers, who released two of my favorite singles last year) go and post up their stellar cover of the classic.
Yesterday, I posted that Downtown Boys track. The youtube feed kept playing and Vacation came up. So I’ve been effectively marketed and i’m the happier for it. So here is a song about co-workers while I rue the vinyl purchases I am currently making.
