Is there some national ordinance that everybody in Australia must be in, bare minimum, 3 bands at any given time?
Total Control are here on August 3rd, and they’re playing The Shop with The Gotobeds and EEL. Show of the year candidate for sure.
Hello, internet stranger! Today is the first day of my new career, which is about close to “dream job” as I can get while working for somebody else. And while I realize I’m just a disembodied voice posting songs on this little blog, I thought you still might like to know I’m quite excited.
To celebrate, I think it’s a great time to share this wonderful project by the French composer Chassol. He created his own audio/video travelogue featuring footage he captured while visiting the Caribbean island of Martinique and piano tracks he overdubbed in studio. The whole thing’s far more enjoyable to watch than it is to explain, so how about you just click play on that there Youtube video I attached to this post?
Of course, the entire thing is better than the sum of it’s parts, so I recommend picking up the DVD from Tricatel.

This is an odd one for Paper Bag Records. But good on them. This is beautifully weird. They are obviously embracing the weirdness with the whole “Hey, mother death” thing.

It’s about 12:45 and I just realized I forgot to schedule a post for today, so I’ll just remind you to check out the documentary Pitchfork recently released on Slowdive’s seminal album. For all of their clickbait and endless shilling for their YouTube channel, Pitchfork can still do some cool things when they feel like it.

You can check it out right here.
