It’s been brought to my attention that I forgot to post a song yesterday. I imagine this pysch garage thumper by Michigan’s Heaters is good enough for two days’ worth of posts. Call it even?

Hey, remember when I posted “Electric“, the first track off of Follakzoid’s upcoming III a while back? Well now Sacred Bones is streaming the whole dag-goned LP. If “Electic” and “Earth” both sound good to you, then head on over here to hear the rest.

I was holding off on posting this one cause it seems up Jim’s alley, but now I’m swooping in and putting it up. Loud loud LLLOOOUUUUDDDD pop(pish) punk, shame they’re calling it a day.

Generally speaking, I tend to be drawn to songs about specific places or times far more than, say, songs about some bro who had his heart broken during his sophomore year of college. Maybe that’s why this single by Animal Collective’s Avey Tare clicked with me right away. Or maybe it’s because it brings to mind the solo work of a certain one of his bandmates. Either way, I can’t stop listening.

I posted before from the new release of old Thee Speaking Canaries material titled Platter Base Must be Constructed of Moon Rock. When ordered, there was a bonus 7″ you could order with. Looks like they are running low on 7″s so they’ve moved to sell the 7″ separately.  Anyhow, this song from the 7″ is fantastic.

You might recognize Moses Archuleta from his day job drumming for Deerhunter. Here, his contribution to Geographic North’s “Sketch for Winter” series leads me to believe he might have had more to do with the ambient/stranger parts of Cryptograms and Weird Era Cont. than I originally suspected.
