You know, it’s Labor Day. This is sort of about working. Which many of us aren’t doing today. Though I will be a bit. What else needs to be said?
Really not fair that Slowdive can just disappear for so long, then just magically show up again, still able to do stuff like this.
I actually opened up last week’s show with this one, and this is really just an excuse to post the live video below. My favorite comment on the YouTube link is:

Apparently, the current Suicidal Tendencies bassist Tim Williams died. Announced this morning on their website. Tim didn’t play on this, but it’s really the only track I remember from them, though they are still together. In the meantime, may Tim RIP.
Drone on, Thurston. Drone on. For those of you keeping track, Moore’s backing band includes both Steve Shelly (also of SY fame) and MBV’s Debbie Googe. Plus, you know, Thurston fucking Moore. I’m assuming “Forevermore” will be on Moore’s upcoming solo effort, The Best Day, out 10/21 on Matador Records.
The Gotobeds have a new album. And apparently it’s on NPR’s first listen page. How does one get on there? That’s pretty cool. Here is a video/song to go along with this cool fact.
