Continue ReadingToday’s Random Album of the Day is Sea of Tears from Eilen Jewell. I like this album so I was happy to see it come up. It’s technically alt-country which is good because I don’t like country for the most part. As my wife said, it’s in that zone of the Cowboy Junkies, somewhere where rock meets country. Sometimes a rockabilly feel. And it really works.
Eilen has a very sultry voice which gives it almost a tinge of a jazz feel with the drumming style. Or club music. We should be having a nice cocktail and enjoying this at the club. The album has a very chill vibe. The lyrics are darker than you expect at times. Or seem to be as best as I can follow. I don’t give this album enough listens so I’m very pleased it came up on the randomizer!

Keep or Trash: This is a keeper album. We also have it on vinyl so very happy to have this around.
