Today’s Random Album of the Day is It’s Always Sunny in Tillamook from Meg & Dia. This is straight up pop music, perhaps folky pop music. And it may surprise you if you follow the blog to know that I love it! Yes, I like noise rock but I do like some pop and I have a soft spot for Meg & Dia due largely to Dia’s roles in some lesbian movies that I watch.

Intellectually this is not in my wheelhouse but I enjoy it anyhow. With that said, this isn’t my favorite album of theirs. It feels slightly less rosy. I like their rosy positive sound. When they do it they do it well! Anyhow I like this.

Favorite Track(s): “My Ugly Mouth” is good. “Dreams like Oceans” is wonderful. Makes me feel so warm. “Don’t Be Careful” also makes my insides tingle. And then I zoned out as I tend to do sometimes…
