Today’s Random Album of the Day is Magnetkingmagnetqueen from New Madrid. This is an Indie Rock band from Atlanta.

I like this band. They overuse reverb, but it kind of works for them. Overall their sound works for me but it all sounds similar from song to song, and it’d be better if songs stood out more with their melodies. But overall it’s a good I guess but it’s not overall memorable either. It doesn’t grab me the way I want it to.

Rating: 7.2

Favorite Track(s): The songs blur together some but one that stood out to me are “Darker Parts” with its shoe gaze guitars. “Shades” is also good. I liked “Dress Up”. Overall lots of good songs but nothing spectacular either. Maybe “Dugout
is my favorite though… No, check that, “Guay Lo” is I think an instrumental and its the best so far.

Keep or Trash: Trash. The music is fine but it won’t make it into my listening cycle…
