Somehow, Animal Collective have managed to write their most Beach Boys-esque song to date without sounding a bit like anything that came out of Panda Bear’s Brian-Wilson-worship-era Person Pitch output.

Sonic Bloom still gets regular plays on my Ipod, so it was definitely good news to hear that Night Beats have announced its follow up, Who Sold My Generation. “Power Child” finds the band picking up right where they left off, bluesy garage rock with just a tiny dash of snarl thrown in.
