Today’s Random Album of the Day is Living Together from Vermont. It’s listed as Midwest Emo / Indie Folk which fits.

Vocal harmonizing is big on this. There is a Christmas song from Vermont that I love and so I want to love this band more than I do. But I think in the end I think they are just okay. The Christmas song is so melodic but most of the songs on this album just doesn’t have that same melodic energy. Neither Jen or I loved this.

It’s tough when we don’t love an album. The band has talent. I like the singer’s voice. The instrumentation is tight enough. It just isn’t clicking with us. Even when I liked a song a little it tended to go on longer than I wanted it to.
