Today’s Random Album of the Day is High Tide from Able Noise. This is Experimental Post-Rock from the Netherlands.

This is a more recent purchase for me. Co-blog host Matt turned me onto them. They have that melodic noisiness to them which is also not always melodic and often discordant. Perfect for me. I love this shit! I’m really pleased with this find.

Rating: 9.8

Favorite Track(s): “To Appease” is obscenely good from the start. Experimental for sure but good. The end gets a bit ambient for my tastes but overall good. I loved “Providence”. A great mix of lovely with noisy! “Boycott” also tickles my fancy. Love the clever musical structure here! I really liked “Garden” though very experimental sounding. Love the angular repetitiveness in “To Two”. “Violence” is such a good song!

Keep or Trash: Keep.
