Today’s Random Album of the Day is a live album, Old Time Relijun performing at Maxwell’s in 2005. It’s a weird live album in that it’s strung together much like a bootleg. I think this was an eMusic release? I don’t recall entirely. But I like Old Time Relijun so alls good.

Old Time Relijun is rock and roll with an element of weirdness. The weirdness is something Arrington de Dionyso brings to all of his work. And I like it. They do a lot of slide guitar and similar sound. Arrington’s voice is dynamic and impressive in what he can do vocally. So yeah, this album is a good one. I definitely should listen to Old Time Relijun more than I do. So of course it’s nice they came up as the Random Album of the Day!

Rating: 8.8 (only a bit low because it’s not a high quality live edit)

Favorite Track: Cold Water

Keep or Trash: Keep. Definitely keep anything from Old Time Relijun.

I could not find this online, but this is their 2001 album which is close to the timing of the live album.
