Today’s Random Album of the Day is another Daytrotter Session, this one from The By Gods. They self list as punk or garage. I think they are closer to garage pop.

Now, if you told me their genres I’d think I’d be way into it. But the first two songs didn’t grab me. The song “Cactus” however did get both my and my wife’s attention. Great bass line and guitar riff. A nice angular sound with a good heaviness to it. “Never Know” was also solid.

Keep or Trash: Trash. It’s good enough to keep but I don’t see myself buying more of their stuff or seeking out this Daytrotter Session to listen to. And I want to pair down our collection.
