Today’s Random Album of the Day is New Morning Changing Weather‘s Self-Titled LP. This is not the album from The (International) Noise Conspiracy which is all that google wants to bring up. This is a Screamo Hardcore band from Michigan. However, if you are interested, the phrase “New Morning Changing Weather” is an old one related to the Weather Underground political movement. Something you can research if interested.

They balance this uber aggressiveness with these nice rhythms. While I definitely need to be in a certain mood to listen to this I actually quite like this album. Musically they are both tight and loose. They are in sync but loose with the song writing can be loose at times – I think on purpose.

Favorite Track(s): “Moss Flower” was both too aggressive for me and perfect at times. Interesting how the song wasn’t what I wanted but I liked it anyhow. “Life Rock” is similar. The whole album flows between aggression and a more chill vibe in a good way. “Osawatamie” does a good job with the spoken word that you get here and there on the album.
